The newly introduced Bushmans Kloof Wedding Package offers the ultimate intimate wilderness wedding and honeymoon sojourn, setting the scene for a lifetime of fond memories together. It includes two nights’ luxury accommodation at the lodge, early morning rock art excursions and evening nature drives, as well as all lodge activities. Special touches and complimentary extras for the bridal couple include the services of a Minister to coordinate all the legal requirements and perform the ceremony at the lodge; a specially designed wedding cake for up to 4 people; ‘His & Hers’ bathrobes with embroidered initials; a bouquet of indigenous flowers for the bride and a buttonhole for the groom; and a romantic rose petal turndown. All this is included from R2 930 per person per night based on two people sharing. Accommodation rates are available on request for family and friends wishing to join the couple.
The main lodge, with 16 rooms and suites, can be booked for the exclusive use of the bridal party. It’s perfect for this purpose, accommodating up to 40 wedding guests and providing bridal couples with an additional night on a complimentary basis. The bridal couple can stay in the opulent Riverside Honeymoon Supreme Suite, which boasts a large master bedroom with a four-poster bed, a stone and wood panelled en-suite bathroom with free standing double ended bath-for-two, and an adjoining spacious living room with a fireplace. A spectacular outdoor shower and an exclusive infinity pool offer total privacy and seclusion with incredible views to provide the ultimate romantic experience.
Koro Lodge, a private villa on the reserve, can accommodate smaller parties of up to 8 guests. It offers a secluded and romantic setting in which to exchange marriage vows, or to host the bridal party. It’s also the ultimate private villa for the perfect honeymoon, captivating the heart with its sweeping views of the totally unspoilt wilderness and the endless skies.
Newly appointed wedding Planner Adele Bennett will set the stage for a magical wedding day, be it an intimate celebration for four, or a lavish affair for 40 people. With all arrangements in her capable care, the bridal couple will be free to revel in the magic of their special day. She’ll take care of absolutely everything, from arranging the wedding ceremony, assisting with the selection of spectacular venues, and planning the schedule of the celebrations, to coordinating all entertainment, photography, flowers, food and beverage, menus and table décor, as well as spa and beauty treatments – every last detail will be lovingly attended to. She and the team will also arrange for the services of a Minister or alternative Marriage Officer to administer marriage documents, including the Certificate of Marriage.
The spectacular ancient landscape and breathtaking wilderness environment offers an array of picturesque settings and breathtaking venues that provide the ultimate backdrop for a memorable wedding celebration. Guests can be wined and dined in a variety of locations, including Embers, an open air dining experience ‘under African skies’, at the Makana outdoor dining area at the lodge, and at Kadoro, a unique private dining location in the reserve suitable for a maximum of 12 guests. The charming Executive Chef will seduce both the heart and palate with his inspired contemporary Cape cuisine, complemented by special buffet menus and an award-winning wine list.
