WORLD ACCLAIM FOR BUSHMANS KLOOF

Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve was voted one of the 25 Top Eco Lodges in the world, by the USA’s leading travel glossy magazine ‘Travel and Leisure’ (July 2003 issue). As one of the 25 selected properties, Bushmans Kloof received acclaim as an ‘innovative retreat that is committed to conservation—with the added value of cultural sensitivity, isolation, and, of course, style.”

Bushmans Kloof is featured in the ‘Wildlife Wonders’ category as a destination “where the primary emphasis is on protecting and conserving the flora and fauna”. It is the only South African property to have made the coveted Top 25 ranking, along with three others on the African continent, one lodge each in Tanzania, Malawi and Kenya. Other winners included lodges all over the world, ranging from Alaska to the Australian Outback, and including Egypt, India, Panama, Japan and Mexico.

Bill McAdam, the owner of Bushmans Kloof says: ”It is a great honour to receive this international accolade which firmly positions Bushmans Kloof as a world class attraction. The award highlights the property as a place of excellence and tranquility, and its many attractions that range from a wealth of rock art and indigenous wildlife, birds and plants, to the luxury of the Relais & Châteaux lodge and The Spa at Bushmans Kloof which was awarded Platinum Circle Status a mere seven months after it opened.”
