At Bushmans Kloof we are always honoured to receive accolades from the hospitality industry and media. But the accolades that really make us proud, and which count the most, are those we receive from our guests.

Here is a selection of recent comments from visitors to Bushmans Kloof:

I can't believe it has already been a week since our stay at Bushmans Kloof. I wanted to send a quick note of thanks on behalf of Janez, Juliana, Wimpie, David and myself for looking after us so well during our stay.

It was a joy seeing your magical part of the country and although we were working during our stay it was pleasure spending our time with all of you. Thanks for all your efforts in making the shoot such a success and for the wonderful moments captured on film.

Please convey our thanks to all the wonderful staff at Bushmans Kloof for their, as always, brilliant service. I did not receive even the tiniest complaint from any of the members or their partners, in fact, they were all full of praise and thoroughly enjoyed the treasure hunt and the star gazing.

Each and every staff member is very special.

Maureen and I would just to thank you personally for a wonderful stay. Again pressures of work prevented us being with you for four nights as really it only on the second day that we really feel that we have unwound to any extent. We come to BK as often as we do (and wish it was more often!!!) as we really love the place, people, food and all that is BK. I chose that we get engaged there. It is our home from home and we feel part of the family and feel more so now with Maureen seeing your lovely new daughter. We wish you every success. We would specially like to thank you for your kind welcome gifts, much appreciated. As I also have a BK cap I need to be careful that this is not a fiendish plan to recruit us onto the staff next time we are out! We will see how 2012 goes but the plan is to see you towards the end of March or later in the years as I would like to bring my best friend out to celebrate his 60th birthday with you all.

We came here on recommendation and that can be dangerous both to giver and recipient. I’m not certain I could anything an unconditional recommendation – until today that is! BK has simply delighted me as a customer and that puts you in a tiny minority. You have, by virtue of your exceptional staff, gone beyond simply giving me great scenery, excellent accommodation and great food to delivering a truly stunning experience which I will always treasure.
Thank you!

Thank-you so very much for arranging for Dave and I to go to Bushmans Kloof........WOW! WOW! WOW! We loved it, I can see now why it receives the accolades it does.....
We were pampered and cared for every step of the way. Rock painting lectures, surprise dinner, the riverside cottage (heaven on earth), the spa, high tea, walks in Gods garden - boy oh boy that terrain is magnificent and then of course the staff and their commitment and level of service excellence. Once you have been there you understand....... We do now, and will recommend to all.

Charles and I would like to thank you so much for our wonderful stay at Bushmans. The nature drives were some of the most relaxed and informative in which we have participated. The cuisine, as always, was superb and oh too plentiful but luckily slightly compensated by the early morning walks amidst the craggy rocky terrain.

On one of our previous visit's morning walks we discovered a pair of zebra’s right up at the top of walk. We were never quite sure who was more surprised, them or us as we viewed each other from 20 yards. On one of this morning's walks we enjoyed an even closer encounter with a pair of klipspringer which was one of our 'special moments' at Bushmans.

Our room, well what can I say? So beautifully and thoughtfully presented with everything we could possibly wish for at our fingertips.

Needless to say, we shall be back yet again sometime.

Meanwhile, good luck with your young family and we wish you a successful year at Bushmans.

It was with regret that we left the confines of Bushmans Kloof on Thursday morning after spending one night. All I can say is that we will be back and that hopefully so will ITC clients in their droves. What an outstanding property - perfect just to relax, unwind and be spoilt by your excellent staff. Every one of them was friendly, informed and well trained. We especially enjoyed the company of our guide Gerhard who was very informative and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you also to Dee Basson who showed us around your spa.

All of the staff are the top of the class. Bushmans Kloof has achieved just the optimum mix of nature combined with 5star luxury. Your staff selection and training is clearly right on the button. South Africa at it's very best!

My husband and I, with our 5 children probably had one of our most amazing "bush" experiences at the Koro Lodge Bushmanskloof. This includes experiences such a Masai Mara in Kenya, Cresta Mowana in Botswane, the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania and the Forest Lodge at Phinda in KZN.

Our team Michel, Daniel and David were extremely accommodating and pleasant, our children between the ages of 13 and 20 could not have asked for a better adventure friend than Daniel.
Daniel made sure each evening that we were all well informed and excited about the next day’s activities. He planned about 3 activities each day and every time there was a small surprise, just too many to mention. Our children spoke about the drumming experience around the campfire all the way home. (three hours) Daniel even had our 13 and 15 year old girls fishing, canoeing and drumming. The fact the Daniel could join the older children with his guitar was beyond my children's wildest dreams. His knowledge of the area, birds and animals was in a class of its own, he could even relate it back to other areas that we had been to, and advise why there were such big differences.

Michel could have been walking around with a magic wand, we honestly let our minds run and each request, no matter how big or small, Michel just made happen, it seemed to be effortless, but I am sure it took a lot of planning and organising. If he did not have something in stock, like a specific brand of cooldrink for the children, even though there was a selection, it was there the next time we had drinks. The campfire was especially created by Michel and David as Koro Lodge does not have a permanent braai area, a pathway of lights from Koro to an area around a big rock formation, protected from the night air. We honestly felt like "modern bushmen". To have lunch delivered by canoe will fishing on a dam wall, and so different and tasty, is just unheard of, yet it just happened. David gave us all a hands-on Sushi lesson, the children ate their own creations, fortunately David made some for my husband and I. Each meal at Koro or away was an experience on its own, we actually cannot highlight one, as they were all very good.

I can go on forever, words cannot do justice to the exceptional time we had at a very unique setting, but without Michel, Daniel and David who exceeded our every expectation, their manner with our children, their ability to be there at a whim, yet without being there is testimony to Mrs Tollman's thinking - People make the difference, what an awesome people experience we had.

We will be back; this is an experience we will repeat. There was a feedback form, I just had to express my sincere gratitude, which said form would not have captured.

Dear Graham,

Trust this message finds you warm and well in beautiful BK.
On behalf of Al and myself, our sincerest, warmest thanks to you and your incredible team at BK for the past three truly incredible days ...which we sadly have just left behind. What an immense blessing it was to be in the beautiful world of BK, a world which you and your team so carefully, so caringly, so cosily and so classily create for guests from the very first moment of magic of arrival, to the last lingering look of the long goodbye. There is no question that BK is truly one of the most special places in SA, in Africa, and across the world of luxury retreats. The space, scenery, styling and sites - every last spectacular detail - remarkable. But it clearly does not stop there. You, your team, your stories, your soundbytes, your sharing...reflecting back on the past few days it is these which wrap the BK experience in a rich blanket of charm and character.

And the giant, breathtaking ribbon on top – without a question Kadoro. There are no words – the tears which fell on walking into its flame-warmed beauty of the cottage shall be left to say it all.
Again, our sincerest thanks. For so so so much more than can be put into words.

Thank you for a memorable party at Bushmanskloof. Every single person who was there on Saturday and Sunday has been completely blown away. The standard of service that you provide is unequaled anywhere in the world. A very special thank you for the extra trouble that you took to ferry the children to and from Koro so that they could participate fully in the birthday celebrations. I cannot think of a single thing that was not perfect.

A huge thank you to all!

I have never been to heaven but this how I imagine it to be, complete with your staff of ‘angels’. Thank you for sharing this extraordinary place with us. Can it be only a mere 3 hours from Cape Town? WOW, can’t wait for an encore! Many thanks!

We had a wonderful stay at Bushmans Kloof and the surprise birthday dinner was something so special, I will treasure it for many years to come. The staff were excellent, especially those around the lodge and all made us feel very much at home. We came away really rested and refreshed.

The experience was such that we would definitely return and highly recommend it to our friends and family.

To the team at Bushmans Kloof

Thank you so much for the hospitality you showed The Grannies on Safari Team! I’ve truly enjoyed my stay. I wish to return by the Grace of God, I will! Be Blessed and Thanks again!

The Kadoro dinner and relaxing by the pool was our highlight. Brilliant wheat free alternatives, the best wheat free food I have ever tasted and delicious Mojitos. Zenobia is a great guide. She has the right balance between being friendly yet professional at all times. Her knowledge and passion for the surrounding area makes her a brilliant guide.

Mr & Mrs Puntib - British

The location, serenity, property, design and décor, ambience and service are excellent. The staff are very professional and accommodating. An enjoyable and interesting stay. Very well done.
