Leylines on Bushmans Kloof Reserve

Some people who believe that there are places or features in various landscapes across the globe that resonate some kind of ‘magical’ or ‘mystical energy’. This energy is said to exist around points or areas of intersection along hypothetical alignments generally known as ‘ley lines’ or ‘leys,’ which are themselves mystical.

When they were first recognised and studied in the northern hemisphere, these putative straight-line tracks appeared to connect places of geographical interest, such as mountain peaks, ancient sites, monuments and megaliths. The growing interest in these imaginary lines has prompted the study of their astronomical and geophysical significance and ancient sites.

Others now believe that these leys and their intersections are concentrated ‘power points’ on the landscape that hold significant ‘healing powers’.

On Bushmans Kloof Reserve, two ley lines anchored on three distinctive physical features were identified using dowsing sticks a few years ago. Nine rock art sites are located in and around where these lines converge, indicating a high energy concentration a small distance from the lodge. Could this perhaps explain the extraordinary rejuvenation one feels after even a short stay at Bushmans Kloof and especially the locations where the former hunters and gatherers left their artistic heriatge?
