Job Summary

We are looking for a technically focused, detail orientated and highly organised leader who can operate under pressure to implement the revenue strategy of the hotel with the goal of maximizing hotel profits and additional services for Red Carnation Hotels.

Minimum Experience and Qualification Required:

  • Must have at least 4 years reservations or revenue experience in a 4* or 5* Hotel; of which at least 2 years in a management role
  • Grade 12, Hotel School Diploma advantageous
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of a property management system; exposure to Opera and various distribution systems advantageous
  • Highly presentable
  • Excellent command of the English language with solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work flexible working hours

Advantageous Experience and Qualifications Desired:

  • Experience or qualifications in e-marketing advantageous
  • Experience in working with interface programmes advantageous
  • Experience and knowledge of management systems namely; Synxis, Siteminder Trust advantageous

Key Performance Objectives:

  • To ensure that all target market segments are developed for the long-term benefit of the hotel’s business
  • To ensure the hotel achieves the monthly budgeted revenues
  • Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly revenue management reports and forecasts are up to date and are completed in accordance with company procedures
  • Ensure monthly or bi monthly revenue meetings are set to include Sales & Marketing and Food & Beverage
  • To manage the reservations and groups teams in according with Red Carnation Hotel Management principles
  • To manage the hotel social media accounts and answer guest questions and comments in real time
