Weddings

Allow our wedding planner and experienced staff to customise your wedding for you. We can create an intimate ceremony for two, or a grand-scale family production for up to 60 guests at any one of a number of venues and locations. Our generous hospitality, passionate staff and thoughtful touches will leave you relaxed and ready to enjoy your momentous day.

Our personal wedding planner will advise and guide you through every detail of your event, from entertainment to tailored menus, dates, event schedules, photography, flowers, table décor and spa and beauty treatments.

Fun and relaxing activities and excursions for you and your wedding party can be customised for your group, along with any other aspects of your wedding experience at the lodge.

We can easily accommodate guests in 16 luxury double rooms and suites replete with en suite bathrooms, and private terraces with magnificent views. Newlyweds can ‘begin the beguine’ in our opulent Riverside Supreme Suite.

Our expert team will support and assist you in every possible way to ensure your special day is a memorable one, and our minister handles all the marriage documents (bridal couple deals directly with the minister)

Getting Married in South Africa

Note - Should the bridal couple originate from countries aligned with The Hague Convention (and not part of the British Common Wealth) they may require an “Apostille” stamped marriage certificate. This will require additional services from the minister and documentation resulting in an additional charge in the region of R 1 500

Important Information

All wedding ceremonies must be conducted
by one of the marriage officers listed below.

~ a Magistrate
~ Special Justice of Peace
~ Commissioner
~ a Minister of Religion designated
by the Minister of Home Affairs

Required Documents

~ Passport valid for six months after arrival and
copies of the first six pages

~ Birth Certificate and official translation or international statement from the birth registration office

~ In the case of divorced or widowed persons: Divorce papers/death certificate confirmed by oath.
