Gerard Coughlin, Executive Chef at Red Carnation hotel member The Chesterfield Palm Beach in Florida/USA, is set to add a touch of Americana to The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa, Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat and The Oyster Box, courtesy of Delta Air Lines.
Coughlin grew up in Florida and joined The Chesterfield Palm Beach as Sous Chef in 2004, having worked for some of Palm Beach’s top restaurants. He was consequently promoted to Executive Chef in 2007, a position he has held ever since.

More Guest Chefs Dinners
Fans of Red Carnation’s South African chefs will have several opportunities to also catch them away from their own kitchens this year.
Bushmans Kloof’s Executive Chef Floris Smith meanwhile will take over the Twelve Apostles kitchen on 22 May 2015, followed by The Oyster Box on 20 August 2015. Chef Floris’ menus feature inspired culinary creations that showcase the fresh organic produce of the Cederberg region, capturing the essence of the Cape Floral Kingdom.
Kevin Joseph, Executive Chef at The Oyster Box in Umhlanga, is renowned for his Indian curries, describing his cooking style as 'classic with a twist of modern'. Fans can enjoy his Indian feasts at The Twelve Apostles Hotel’s Azure Restaurant on 21 July 2015, or during a weekend away at Bushmans Kloof from 19-21 June 2015.
Christo Pretorius, Executive Chef at The Twelve Apostles and rising star of the Western Cape’s culinary scene, will cook up a storm during a special food weekend at Bushmans Kloof from 3-5 July 2015, while Durbanites can taste his signature dishes at The Oyster Box on 1 October 2015.
